WonderlandBrits Cattery formerly known as Fortis Fortuna Cattery is a family ran registered cattery with The International Cat Association (TICA). Our mission is to send good fortune from our home to yours. We too have been where you stand today, looking for a good breeder you can trust with quality British Shorthairs. We want all of you to have your own happily ever after with our kittens. We understand that a commitment to purchasing a kitten evokes many emotions and we thank you for trusting us and choosing our beloved babies.  We operate in a way that should make you feel valued, not degraded for wanting to purchase a kitten. We are truly grateful for your commitment to our kittens, and it is a privilege to be able to contribute to the happiness of all of you for many years to come.

Our cats live in our home with us, and all the kittens are exposed to children and dogs every day. They start their journey with cat trees, scratching posts, toys, litter boxes, good food, and a lot of social interaction. They are free to run and jump and play while building important social skills that will establish a foundation for a healthy adult companion.

Our goal as a breeder of British Shorthair is to breed cats with good health, good temperament, quality coats and colors, the ability to reproduce, and a distinct look that is recognizable to our cattery. That means sometimes we will make hard decisions to eliminate certain cats and keep certain kitten from in our breeding program. The end goal is to produce kittens with improved appearance (phenotype) and genetics (genotype) that will meet the highest expectation of the Breed Standard. We want all our kittens to grow into cats that would win Champion titles. Anyone can breed cats; as a matter of fact, they will do the work for you. But to breed to the standards is a matter of purpose, planning, and precision with a firm knowledge base of genetics. We do not practice inbreeding and this is not a statement on our stance on the issue.
